Privacy
- Your documents are not uploaded. They are read and checked by code running in your browser. The operator never receives, sees or stores them. The page's Content-Security-Policy stops it from contacting any other site.
- No cookies, no tracking, no analytics. The web host keeps standard server logs (IP address, time, page requested) for security, under its own privacy policy.
- If you email us, we use your email only to reply, and delete it within 12 months unless an ongoing conversation needs it.
- Business outreach. We send a small number of one-off emails to companies' published general addresses about this free tool, on the basis of legitimate interests. We keep the company name, address and date sent for up to 12 months, plus a do-not-contact list for as long as needed to honour it. You can object or ask for erasure at any time by replying "no thanks" or emailing gateproof@protonmail.com. Our emails are prepared and sent by an AI assistant (Claude) on behalf of Dariusz Zak, and replies are read by the assistant and Dariusz Zak.
Terms of use
- Free screening aid. The checker is provided free of charge, "as is", for information. It is not a fire engineering, structural or design review, not a compliance opinion and not an approval. It can miss problems and it can raise false alarms.
- No reliance. Don't rely on it as the sole basis for any decision. The absence of a finding doesn't mean an application is complete, valid or compliant. The client and dutyholders remain responsible under the Building Safety Act 2022 and the Building (Higher-Risk Buildings Procedures) (England) Regulations 2023.
- Liability. As far as the law allows, the operator accepts no liability for any loss arising from use of the checker. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
- Open-source components. pdf.js (Apache License 2.0) and Pyodide (Mozilla Public License 2.0) are served unmodified from this site.
- Not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the Building Safety Regulator, HSE or any government body.
